3 июля 2019 г. на 94-м году ушёл из жизни Евгений Потапович Мосягин, наш земляк из Москвы, ветеран Великой Отечественной войны, партизан, ветеран труда, писатель, художник.
Родился Е.П. Мосягин в 1926 году в Новозыбкове. Перед началом войны учился в средней школе №1. В 1943 году вместе с другими молодыми людьми был направлен на принудительные работы в Германию. По пути бежал из эшелона и попал в партизанский отряд в Белоруссии. Сражался с оккупантами в гомельском отряде народных мстителей «Железняк». После прихода Красной Армии, как не достигший призывного возраста, возвращается в Новозыбков и в 1944 году призывается в армию. Служил до 1951 года. Окончил Московский инженерно-строительный институт, долгие годы работал в НИИ «Аэропроект» на должности инженера-конструктора и руководителя отдела. При его участии возведены крупнейшие аэровокзалы страны и зарубежья. Имеет более двадцати боевых и трудовых наград, в том числе Республики Беларусь. Почётный житель Московского района Северное Дегунино. Активно участвовал в ветеранском движении, встречался с молодёжью, его всегда ждали на памятных мероприятиях, посвящённых подвигу народа в прошедшей войне.
Евгений Мосягин — автор шести изданных книг поэзии, прозы, мемуаров, в том числе романа-хроники о довоенном Новозыбкове и его людях под названием «Старый дуб у дедовского дома». Последняя его книга «Свет и тень, радость и печаль» вышла из печати совсем недавно, в мае этого года. По многим его произведениям можно хронологически составлять историю города, прослеживать биографии живших и уже ушедших от нас его сограждан. Написал большое число опубликованных в различных изданиях, а также отдельной книгой стихотворений. Новозыбковцам он хорошо знаком по известным строкам, посвящённым нашему городу: «Так начинался Новозыбков». Большое число его произведений посвящены прошедшей войне, стойкости и мужеству её участников.
Занимался искусством. Писал картины, рисовал. Автор нескольких персональных и коллективных выставок в Москве. Готовился к новому представлению своего творчества в одном из выставочных залов своего округа.
Евгений Потапович активно участвовал в обсуждении злободневных проблем нашего бытия, публиковался не только с художественными произведениями, но и с публицистическими статьями. Всегда переживал за свой город, интересовался происходящими здесь культурными и общественными событиями. Неоднократно приезжал на свою малую родину, встречался с жителями, любителями литературы, дарил свои книги библиотекам и музею, друзьям и знакомым, поддерживал тесные связи с местным творческим объединение «Зыбчане», состоял его почётным членом.
Собирался посетить город своей юности ещё раз, но не довелось. Светлая память о нашем земляке всегда будет согревать нас образами его книг, примером жизни, верой в торжество высших человеческих ценностей. У него остались два сына и дочь, внуки и правнуки. Все, кто знал этого замечательного человека, выражают искренние соболезнования его семье по случаю невосполнимой утраты.

От новости о смерти Мосягина сердце сжалось.
Родным и близким почившего выражаю соболезнования.
Невосполнимая утрата и для всех нас.
С чувством глубокой скорби пишутся слова о человеке, который прожил достойную жизнь своего времени и своего поколения. Общение с которым всегда вызывало у меня удивление и восхищение, не сколько прямолинейность его суждений, сколько силой жизненной позиции.
Выражаю слова соболезнования родным и близким Евгения Мосягина.
